Erin Hughes
Erin is a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia and is a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) with a Masters in Integrated Water Management from the International Water Centre. She has over 10 years’ experience in hydraulic modelling, dambreak and consequence assessment, flood risk management and hydrology.
Erin is highly experienced in TUFLOW, RORB and HEC-LifeSim modelling software and has worked on a large array of infrastructure projects, dam consequence assessments and flood risk management investigations. Erin manages a range of projects for the private and public sectors in all states of Australia and internationally.
She is also passionate about STEM education and supporting First Nation communities to reach their water related goals. As a result, she was involved in developing HARC’s corporate social responsibility framework and donates her professional skills to not-for-profit organisations such as WaterAid and Engineers Without Borders and is an Australian Superstar of STEM alumni.
